Centennial Park Master Plan Implementation Project
Project for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
Project Details
Connico provided cost estimating services for the phase 1 implementation of the Centennial Park master plan. Centennial Park holds a special place in the history of Nashville and in the hearts of its citizens. The park was first created to hold the Centennial Exposition of 1897, a six-month event that brought nearly two million visitors to Nashville at a time when the city’s population was barely 100,000. It was the start of not only Nashville’s municipal park system but public park systems across the state. This project included water features and water strategy, park circulation and parking, landscape and planning, monuments and buildings, and programming and amenities.
Connico also provided cost estimating services for the phase 2 redevelopment of the Great Lawn portion of the project as well. This portion of the project included earthwork, paving, landscaping, north‐east parking, south‐east parking, Lake Watauga, bandshell landscaping and pavilion sitework, restrooms, storage building, and pavilion building. For phase 3, we provided estimates for additional elements of the project which included a new pavilion, restroom buildings, storage building, sitework / landscaping, walking trails, west trail, and bridge to island.
