Electrical Cost Specialist

Are you ready for an exciting opportunity working on major infrastructure projects that will change the face of airports and communities around the United States? Are you someone who values precision, delivers quality in every detail, and thrives on providing expert cost estimation and project management?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quantify and price materials and labor for electrical systems, value engineering, and life-cycle cost analysis.
  • Compile the anticipated cost of the Electrical components of projects given project information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Balance a diverse workload and coordinate the mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical aspects of the project with other disciplines.
  • Visualize, plan, and estimate MEP work at a rough order of magnitude level without 100% of detail and documentation.
  • Compile clear and concise cost estimates tailored to client needs, including researching prices and developing unit prices.
  • Maintain cost and assembly databases.
  • Produce quality deliverables working with both levels of detailed design and planning-level or ROM-level documents.
  • Lead and manage an internal team to achieve project goals, including on-time delivery of deliverables, producing reports which meet Connico’s core values and high standard of quality.
  • Some travel may be required, including visits to conferences, client offices, project sites, or other company offices.

Skills to Succeed:

  • Minimum five years of Electrical estimating experience in varied market segments. Aviation experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and related estimating software programs (IntelliBid, On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, Success, MII, or MCACES).
  • Proven track record of managing, leading, and creating estimates on projects.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, civil, and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Certification, including CCP, CPE, RICS, CPE or PE is advantageous.

Architectural Cost Specialist

Are you ready for an exciting opportunity working on major infrastructure projects that will change the face of airports and communities around the United States? Are you a seasoned Architectural Cost Estimator with experience estimating all building elements including foundations, structural elements, systems, and both interior and exterior finishes?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quantify and price materials and labor for structural and architectural building construction, value engineering, and life-cycle cost analysis.
  • Visualize, plan, and estimate architecture and structural costs at a rough order of magnitude level without 100% of detail and documentation.
  • Understand mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical aspects of the project and coordinate with those disciplines to assure complete scope coverage.
  • Communicate, solicit, and interact with sub-contractors in various trades to obtain pricing.
  • Train and mentor others on technical and non-technical topics, sharing knowledge through the company.
  • Lead and manage an internal team to achieve project goals on projects, including on-time delivery of deliverables, producing reports which meet Connico’s core values and high standard of quality, utilizing and training other Connico staff, communicating project changes or challenges to the company, and bringing the project in on budget.
  • Maintain or assist in maintaining client relationships and assist in maintaining client relationships through regular client interface, both on projects and through interaction not related to projects.
  • Balance a diverse workload.

Skills to Succeed:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited institution in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying and estimating, or related field, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Minimum six years’ estimating experience in varied market segments, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, civil, and engineering drawings and specifications (both at high levels of design and at the planning stage), quantity takeoffs and models, and architectural and engineering reports.
  • Familiarity with estimating software programs, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, MII, or Success.
  • Proficiency in estimating in CSI Masterformat and UniFormat and knowledge of common terms in estimating.
  • Proven track record of managing, leading, and creating estimates on major projects, including responsibility for timeliness of deliverables, management of budget, integrating elements from multiple divisions, and professionally communicating with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to: Teams, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Certification, including CCP, CPE, RICS, CEP, or PE.
  • Experience in the aviation market is preferred but not required.

Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manages communications with new and existing vendors by being the first point of contact for inquiries and correspondence.
  • Assists with accounting duties, including entering transactions into accounting software, validating payments and other expenses, reviewing and processing vendor payments, processing employee expense reports and timesheets, reviewing and reconciling bank/credit card statements.
  • Assists with or performs invoicing duties, including validating charged time and expenses, assembling monthly status reports, assembling and sending invoices, and tracking accounts receivable.
  • Coordinates with tax accountants, Controller, auditors, or other financial consultants to ensure accurate records, timely document transfer, and thorough financial analysis.
  • Support Accounting Department and assist with monthly, quarterly, year-end tasks, manage special projects, and any additional administrative duties as assigned.
  • Records and distributes minutes of certain meetings as necessary.
  • Some travel may be required, including visits to conferences, client offices, project sites, or other company offices.
  • The above duties and all other duties set forth by Connico Leadership.

Skills to Succeed:

  • Four-year degree in Business, Business Management, or equivalent knowledge (5+ years).
  • Proficiency in basic office software including Adobe, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with InFocus/Unanet accounting software is desirable but not required.
