Kansas City Streetcar System

Project Details

This approximately 0.75-mile project included the extension of the Kansas City streetcar system north into the Kansas City Riverfront Area. The extension began at the River Market and continued north to the growing Riverfront Area. The installation of a new Traction Power Substation, cycle track, and various civil scopes were also included in the project.

For this project, Connico prepared the original program schedule, detailed design schedule and oversight, probable construction schedule and oversight for the contractor’s schedule, and detailed operational readiness and commissioning schedule. For the Quarterly Report that was presented to the Federal Transportation Administration, we updated both an overall program schedule and a separate testing, commissioning, and closeout schedule on a regular basis, as well as prepared schedule narratives and literary content. Connico also provided various scheduling support as needed to support the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority.
