Inside Connico’s Annual Meeting, and what’s next

At Connico, our team members from across the country come together once a year for our Annual Meeting. Our time together allows us to reflect, recalibrate, and set the course for what’s next. It’s a chance to celebrate wins and invest in our people. More than anything, it’s a reminder that we’re building something bigger than ourselves.

This year’s meeting was no exception. It left us inspired to take on the future. But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what some of our team members had to say about this year’s experience:

Recharged and ready to go

The Annual Meeting was an insightful experience that gave me a deeper understanding of myself, my team, and my company. We started with a gratitude check, which made me reflect on how fortunate I am to be part of a company that provides so many opportunities and mentorship. It reinforced my appreciation for the supportive environment that has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I also was blown away by our accomplishments of the past year! It put the collective efforts and dedication of our team front and center. Speaking of teamwork, we watched a video about the Blue Angels’ Yankee Set formation – that was an impactful moment that emphasized the importance of trust and coordination among colleagues. Those are essential qualities for working effectively on a diverse team like Connico’s.

Additionally, the roundtable discussions about value helped me gain new perspectives on what “value” truly means for us and our clients, and it also sparked meaningful conversations on how we can consistently deliver it through our work. Finally, I felt inspired and aligned while learning about the company’s vision and goals. It’s always exciting to see where we are headed in the next year and beyond. Overall, the meeting left me feeling motivated and more connected to my team.

Connecting in new ways

The Annual Meeting is something our team looks forward to every year, but this year, the event was markedly special.

What made it unforgettable wasn’t the speakers (although they were fantastic). Nor was it the January weather in Cincinnati! This year, we kicked the meeting off a little differently than usual. We went around and shared something we were grateful for – personal, professional, or both. One by one, we each shared our appreciation, which created a positive atmosphere for the rest of the event. Starting off with gratitude really focused our energy and fostered powerful collaboration and camaraderie.

Ultimately, what made it special this year wasn’t something we could have predicted or planned for. But, sharing that positivity really activated the connective tissue between us and propelled us on to have a phenomenal time together!

The power of a tight-knit team

I’m very grateful to have attended the Annual Meeting this year. As a newcomer, the experience was well worth the time. Getting to spend a few days with the entire company in one location was beneficial in many ways.

The saying, “never met a stranger” is an understatement here. I wouldn’t consider it a company meeting, but more like a family reunion, which is one of many reasons Connico is a great place to work. During the presentation, we learned how the Blue Angels work as a seamless unit and how we can use their tactics to help the Connico team grow. That was definitely a take-home item for me!

Reconnecting and looking ahead

My favorite part of the Annual Meeting was seeing my teammates from across the country in person and out of the office. The updates shared and upbeat energy of the meeting set the year off in a motivating and positive way. I look forward to next year’s meeting and the chance to interact with my colleagues again – as well as meet future team members!
